Moving in with a significant other is a major step in any relationship and one that should never be rushed into. Before you throw caution to the wind, make sure you and your relationship are ready for such a leap. After the jump, 20 things every couple should do before they move in together.

1. Agree on who will pay for what.
2. Agree on how to handle an unplanned pregnancy.
3. Decide if they’re both on the same page when it comes to marriage (in general, and to each other).
4. Come up with at least one reason to move in together other than finances and convenience.
5. Consider some of the realistic challenges cohabitation might create.
6. Meet each other’s “people,” including close friends and family members.
7. Know each other’s financial situation.
8. Agree on a three-year plan.
9. Say “I love you” to each other.
10. Decide whose bed you’re going to keep.
11. Poop in each other’s respective apartments.
12. Spend more than two nights in a row together.
13. Experience heartbreak on some level.
14. Celebrate at least one major holiday together.
15. Discuss how to divvy household chores.
16. Pick out at least one new object of some value — financial, aesthetic, or symbolic — for the home together.
17. Have a trial sleepover for your pets.
18. Travel together.
19. Make sure there’s enough closet space for both of you.
20. Have at least one big fight.

JR and I had 14 of those down before we moved in together...#20 happened on my birthday last year...but it was an awesome fight!!! I got my point across like I've never been able to before in a relationship....and truly that made us so much stronger.

i would give anything

To have a simpler life. Or take back the luxuries that obviously implicate my financial burdens. Really don't need em. Too bad there isn't a return policy that would not mess up credit scores. I'm just trying to reduce costs like everyone else. But really. I'm over it. Can I just be a hippie instead. Thanks.

B day wish list

*stretch, yawn, type*

i really don't update as much because i hardly ever see the full monitor that isn't on my phone. lol I also no longer make as much time to even be online, much less unleash all my creativity....as in digital art etc. :( do we really change up all the priorities in life when we begin to share it with that other person? if I'm not at work, I'm at home or with him somewhere....anywhere. lol oh and really, not having my desktop pc at home makes the difference...but then i don't have the time to be on it! damn it, i kinda miss it. i will get it back when i really want it. i must admit, every minute i spend with this man is the difference that makes my life amazing. My love in it.
