okay, dont laugh at me. I didnt make much time to read anything this year. i just moved to a new state, started a new job...things are damn different in the south than they are in the west! On the day I got a nasty flu, I rented new moon. I liked it. I had seen twilight. i started to read the twilight book, but found it very boring. Remember, I grew up on Anne Rice and the Vampire Chronicles...but anyway, after new moon, eclipse came out within a week at the theatre...After watching that...I had to read breaking dawn. And this book was good. geez i just fell a whole flight of stairs in the cool factor. maybe.

US. Its by far the best relationship of my life. year one is done and in the books!!! I moved to Texas for us!! And its all so worth it. 1. Stopped wearing clothing that might just be, too short.

2. Started enjoying the company of just one person....my boyfriend. as much as possible.

3. Started to manage my finances, just a little better. kinda.

Where was I at when I was 20?

2003 -yeah just 7 years ago, (7! wtf) but where the hell was I and who the hell was i? maybe my case is different since im just a special case all over....like, i wasnt your typical 20 year old. I was a lost addicted kid. Not aware of self and who I was.....so thank goodness I wasnt involved in any relationships right? well relationships in what they are....i was involved, in some sort of relationship. But yeah...I was 20, trying to go through my felony reduced to a misdemeanor, that alone is a maturing experience...well to me it was. ask me if i caught anything after that ordeal....making all the mistakes one can make when youre so lost like that..the only thing I did know is that i was aware of my creativity. My sense of desire, art, music....maybe my senses were overstimulated..and i had all the time in the world too make everything out of them. From sketches, digital collages, beats, songs, lyrics...I was definitely expressing, who I was and what I felt. I was IN TUNE! with emotions that were waaaay more intense than Ive ever felt before. Maybe because of all that overload with emotions, is why I can better deal with them now. I am not my relationship (though it is the greatest relationship Ive ever been blessed with, with the opposite sex) so I know who i am outside of it. With or without it. That takes a lot. I think the relationship i have with myself finally began to develop at the end of that year..because thanks to that criminal charge, i was spending a lot of time by myself....but truly it wasnt until 2005 that I finally came to grasp with the love I have for myself. yeah....early 20's were Interesting! now, at my later twenties, things are finally starting to be, less intense, less dramatic, more fulfilling, peaceful and WORTH IT! You truly cant get better without being worse..yeah.

1. Agree on who will pay for what.
2. Agree on how to handle an unplanned pregnancy.
3. Decide if they’re both on the same page when it comes to marriage (in general, and to each other).
4. Come up with at least one reason to move in together other than finances and convenience.
5. Consider some of the realistic challenges cohabitation might create.
6. Meet each other’s “people,” including close friends and family members.
7. Know each other’s financial situation.
8. Agree on a three-year plan.
9. Say “I love you” to each other.
10. Decide whose bed you’re going to keep.
11. Poop in each other’s respective apartments.
12. Spend more than two nights in a row together.

JR and I had 14 of those down before we moved in together...#20 happened on my birthday last year...but it was an awesome fight!!! I got my point across like I've never been able to before in a relationship....and truly that made us so much stronger.

You've come a long way baby.

Even when I see myself in the mirror its almost like seeing someone new! It has taken me a good 2 decades to finally understand, recognize and appreciate who I am. It took me through a hellish road in the process...but you really can't appreciate the greatness of one without living the worst of one self. It makes perfect sense to see the kind of environment I was placing myself in for all those years....even the kind of relationships I kept and for how long. No regrets whatsoever....just good solid realization and appreciation. Which is how key my family is to me now more than ever. You pick your friends, and in some cases who you fall in love with (not always though).so to say the least I am more than blessed in so many ways! Health is great! I wish I could share that with everyone....emotional health is amazing. It all starts there. Impossible to be happy with life without being happy
with yourself. Bunch of cliches but its all true. I couldn't be in true love with my boyfriend without being in love with myself. And that took all 26 of my years to get to this point. I can be happy with or without him. But I thank God every day that I'm granted life with the love of my life who is my boyfriend. We are so opposite in so many little things...but keep all the great values and ideals in complete sync. He's Country and I'm Hip Hop with a dash of indie. But having love and humour makes it work. And makes it fun. I have never been able to feel so happy and comfortable with myself around someone like it is with him. I can act like a 5 year old sometimes with my sillyness and as irritated he can act like he is he still loves it.... Okay enough moment of wonder and back to work... It just feels good to realize how much you grow...I love it.

Yeah I had a SUPER ANGRY day from the start. If it's one emotion I hate to have , it's gotta be anger. I've previously allowed anger to drive me to self destructiveness. It's my favorite emotion for "fuck the world" activities. And I always know I'm in charge of my emotions for one. So it's frustrating when I still let it get to me and become irritated with the little things or in the recent case, the things at my work. I still think I should try and talk to a therapist so I can get some things out. Things I wouldn't even want to share with anyone not even my other half. That's one Scorpio trait I can't change. But I do like getting an outside feedback on stuff from time to time. Oh and maybe a combination of Yoga and kick boxing classes should do the trick. That, however, would reduce the time I spend with my love and at home by a lot! I think it's worth sacrificing sometimes though.
Especially in a case like this. Time to sign up.

What to do

I have a confession to make. I'm simply not happy with the job that I have. I do however, have far too many financial dependences that keep me tied to this. Including a car loan that is far too much for anyone living outside of free housing. I seriously just want to cry out of frustration sometimes. I chose to be here. I want to be with the man that I love. But I am sacrificing my happiness with what I do every day as a job. This is such a catch 22. There's not much of a way out. Although if I continue to feel like I'm stuck, I won't be making it better. And to find a decent job that will pay anything close to what I make now is beyond hard to find. Because I've been looking. It's like "what have I done?" But only because on days like this I let it over shadow what is truly my happiness: Life with Him. Yeah.

Texas kind of Love

But oh do I love it. Had a beautiful start with having my boyfriend make me coffee as I got ready for work again.....and he was going to his 1st day at the firefighter academy..... He's awesome. He gets me. He gets my humor and allows me to be myself in all my elements. I can act like a 5 year old just as we're going to sleep by bugging him while he's going through his blackberry and although he gets mad, he still enjoys the hell out of it. I've been waiting for him all my life at some point. I can thank what I thought was the greatest love of my life in how I came to meet him, but it turns out he was just introducing me to my true love. He makes me feel secure when I have doubts about the smallest things in life. I moved to a whole new state to be with him.....or better yet to make US. I think we have a good grasp in how to show each other love and appreciation.....without going to
extremes and keeping each other guessing. .... Can't wait till we are over this 'beginning broke' and can come out with a fresh breath of air and less worries about how we are doing financially. I'm happy we both are as driven as each other. well that about sums it up...... Before I get into dear diary mode....work is beyond slow and they are playing john mayer on the stereo so I feel its my duty to change that....fa sho.
